How to Install Virtual Box

1. Download VirtualBox

First, you'll need to download VirtualBox and its Extensions first. Here are the steps:

  • First, please open a browser on your PC.
  • Then access the official virtualbox site.
  • If you have, click Windows host in the VirtualBox 6 platform packages field.
Note: If you are using an operating system other than Windows, just click the link according to the OS used.
  • Next click the All supported platforms menu in the VirtualBox 6 column of the Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack.

2. Install VirtualBox

It is recommended to put the two installation files in one folder (to make it easier). Next, you can start the installation process. The method is as follows:

  • Please double click on virtualbox software.

  • If you have, go ahead and check the Start Option of Oracle VM Virtual Box and click the Finish button to open it.

3. Install Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension

  • Go to the File tab and select the Preferences menu.

  • Then there will appear VirtualBox – Preferences dialog box, here click the Add Extension icon.

  • If it is successful, then in the VirtualBox – Preferences dialog box will appear the name of the extension that has been installed.
